Brand Manager

We are looking for a Brand Manager to join the Global Brand Strategy team. In this role, you will support the team across a range of initiatives. You’ll dig into brand and consumer research, turn that data into impactful content strategies, and work closely with our creative team to brief in and develop new content, while we bring people from other departments along for the ride.

Who You Are:

You have experience and a passion for telling great stories through compelling campaigns, content, and activations. You are adept at consumer research and passionate about human behavior, technology’s impact on our lives, and what that means for the travel vertical. You should have a clear understanding of how a brand’s voice, tone, and purpose shape perception overall.

We look for individuals who are passionate about uncovering insights, can adapt quickly and thoughtfully, are generous with (and open to receiving) feedback, and are always looking to add value. The right candidate will be tenacious, imaginative, detailed, analytically-inclined, and curious.

You have the ability to independently audit the brand’s presence, inform research that uncovers insights; build compelling stories; ask and answer difficult and ambiguous questions; willingness to collaborate across departments with ease; support product, marketing, and creative teams with data; learn and adapt quickly.

This role is based in Vrbo’s Austin HQ.

What You Will Do:

  • Commitment to learn Vrbo’s products and targets (traveler and partner)

  • Analyze existing data and research (qualitative, quantitative, ethnographic) for insights

  • Structure social listening queries, pull data, and action insights

  • Keep up to date with social media news and trends and understand the possibilities for the different platforms

  • Take a strategy or program and build out a detailed project plan, supporting the Program Owner/Lead

  • Maintain organization & documentation of a campaign or program from conception to completion, actively supporting the program owner

  • Help the team build out strategy presentations to sell-in new ideas and plans

What You Bring:

  • Demonstrated ability as a brand planner, comms strategist, or strategic account manager at a creative agency, research company or relevant client-side brand team.

  • Flexibility & willingness to dive into anything thrown your way; openness to learn

  • Experience with project management/ organizational tools

  • Experience in dynamic and matrixed organizations

  • Analytical/data driven – you know how to collect and analyze data to tell stories

  • Experience working in tools such as Netbase, Tableau, etc

  • Passion for travel, vacation rentals, and Vrbo!

  • Inveterate relationship builder with a love of working across teams and seeing different points of view

  • Proficiency in general business, marketing and creative concepts and workflows with a talent for communicating with others
