The Insurance team at Expedia is looking for a hardworking, results-oriented, inventive and influential technical leader to drive our product and technology road-map that will enable growth of our Insurance business. In the role of Manager, Engineering you will work closely with business leaders and engineering leaders to build a platform and deliver products that enable Insurance business to delight millions of our customers. Additionally, you and your team will build industry leading consumer facing products, supplier tools and partner connectivity that enables an optimal supply-demand loop.
You will partner with our product management and supply teams to envision, create and build a platform that will operate with a high degree of operational excellence, and wow our suppliers and inspire our industry peers. You will also be the go-to-person for questions, anticipate developers' needs, lead architecture, be a tie-breaker and evangelize the platform. You will be expected to independently identify problems that no one has seen and drive solutions. In this role, you are someone who stays up to date with tools, trends, technologies and frameworks both industry-wide as well as within Expedia and then share that knowledge in a meaningful way with your team and peers.
You will need to be able to communicate clearly with senior executive leaders across the organization as easily as you can convey key technical ideas and directions to engineers on the team. You will have a strong bias for action and a history of delivering the right results, which will be a critical asset to ensure that Expedia Group will be able generate 10x the amount of returns on our investments.
