Analytics Manager

We are looking for an Analytics Manager to join our Marketing Analytics Team! As a core member of team, you will be working with data and applying advanced data science techniques in a lively and stimulating environment. Your insights will be used to enhance our customer value proposition, improve customer acquisition and engagement, drive customer lifetime value, deliver an outstanding customer experience and better understand the customer behavior across brands owned by Expedia Group.

The Analytics Manager will be able to work with minimal instruction and oversight, enjoy working on multiple tasks and projects at the same time and own projects end to end. Critical to your success in this role is a love of data (we love data!) - Developing insightful analysis that you communicate in a clear and compelling way.

What You'll Do

  • Capture requirements for analytical projects through discussions with the business partner teams
  • Build & execute data acquisition strategies, so that the analytical requirements of the project can be met
  • Build models that relate to marketing campaign measurement (incrementality testing, attribution, etc.) and CRM (customer lifetime value and customer segmentation models, loyalty analysis, personalization algorithms, churn models, etc.)
  • Analysis of promotions, through testing and/or modeling. Statistical support for large-scale A/B testing or Multivariate testing
  • Communicate results to the business and help guide the team to appropriate actions
  • Translate complex data findings into clear insights, with a knack for storytelling
  • Perform under a fast paced and feel comfortable working with partners across various business teams

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of proven experience in a Data Science or Advanced Analytics role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Engineering or similar. Relevant Master’s degree a plus
  • Strong SQL skills and knowledge of R (or similar tools like Python) is required - for data analysis, structuring, transforming and visualizing big data
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing analytics problems like attribution, incrementality testing and customer lifetime value
  • Excellent project and partner management skills, working with multiple teams across several countries
  • The ability to communicate complex analytical solutions and their business value to a diverse group of technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical rigor, problem solver mindset and strong attention to detail
