Product Analytics Manager, Identity

Are you passionate about solving problems, advanced analytics and eCommerce optimisation?

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual to join us in Product Analytics as we partner with the eCommerce team to optimise Customer Identity products across Expedia Group. As these products scale, they will be critical enablers for the future of our platform, and we require a Product Analytics Manager adept at solving complex problems and applying advanced analytical techniques to support this growth.

You will be defining and driving the analysis, measurement and evaluation a high profile accelerated capability. As we test towards increased customer identification across our products, you’ll be responsible for the rigorous application of the scientific method and ensuring that we astutely trade-off changes in the customer experience with long-term value creation. In this new and exciting area of the platform you’ll work with our Product and Technology partners, and across brands and analytical fields to lead the analysis of the key Identity capabilities (Authentication, Authorisation, Protection & Verification and Profile Management).

What you’ll do:

  • Defining cross-brand product performance metrics and establishing key drivers.
  • Identifying and using new or existing data sources to create a holistic view of the performance of product features as they are universally deployed.
  • Exploratory analysis to find opportunities to minimise friction across Identity customer flows and drive experimentation ideation.
  • Quantifying optimisation opportunities to inform roadmap prioritisation.
  • Establishing an efficient test and learn process incorporating our advanced experimentation methodology.
  • Quantifying the value of Identity product features (account creation, sign-in, profile management etc.) and establishing the interplay with loyalty mechanisms.
  • Applying advanced analytics to develop a deeper understanding of the relationship between identification rate and user behaviours/segments and contributing to the personalisation Identity products.
  • Collaborating across Product Analytics to inform the development of common Group-wide data assets, tools and methodologies.

Who you are:

  • 4+ years’ data analytics experience in a business context.
  • Excellent logical thinking, a very strong background (Bachelor’s/Master’s degree) in a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, engineering, operations research, data science or similar, and a scientific approach to problem-solving (i.e. ability to ask the right questions and design appropriate analyses to answer them).
  • Expertise in conversion rate optimisation/multivariate testing.
  • Experience in customer insight (acquisition, engagement, lifetime value) would be helpful.
  • Expertise in web analytics using tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
  • Deep experience with large datasets and proficient in SQL and another programming language (e.g. R, Python).
  • Experience of visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, Power BI).
  • Understanding of advanced statistical/predictive modelling, operational research and optimisation techniques highly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate sophisticated concepts concisely and clearly to senior level executives.
  • Ability to perform in a dynamic environment and be comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Sharp focus on results and strong attention to detail.
