Senior Director, Product Management

Hotwire is recruiting for an executive role with responsibility for leading the end to end Product Management teams.  Reporting to the Head of Hotwire, and as an integral contributor to the Hotwire Leadership Team, this Senior Director, Product Management will be passionate about building, driving, motivating, innovating, and constantly evolving extraordinary Product teams.  They will be responsible for crafting and executing the vision for how Hotwire’s customers use and interface with our product, as well as the back end data and analytics environment, systems and tools ensuring that the cross-discipline product and engineering teams can design and deliver high quality solutions to our travelers quickly and efficiently.

This Senior Director will lead product management for over a dozen delivery pods, including apps, web front-end, back-end, data science, acquisition, retention, data, platform and enterprise tools. They will drive product strategy across these pods and partner with multiple groups across the organization to innovate and inspire changes to the product, aligning with Hotwire's unique brand promise. They will have to have an inquisitive mindset and desire to continuously push to learn more and seek out growth opportunities. The ideal candidate is one who has successfully led the development and delivery of complex consumer products at scale; is passionate and knows how to get results; is driven to create and build; is operationally credible; possess a relentless focus on the customer; and can effectively build, inspire and lead teams.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee a team of product managers to take product concepts from idea through validation, shipping, measurement, and iteration.
  • Build, guide, mentor and motivate and retain a group of extraordinary product management professionals.
  • Partner with UX and technology peers to create beautiful consumer experiences that are consistent with the brand's identity and promise.
  • Prioritize and lead the development of new features based on clear criteria.
  • Educate and mentor product and technology professionals, including establishing best practices for testing roadmaps and test development and analysis.
  • Work closely with leaders from the business and supply teams, UX design, analytics, engineering, and marketing (and more) to deliver extraordinary products to our customers. Encourage collaboration with other Expedia teams.
  • Present to senior executives and represent Hotwire product strategy with key team members.
  • Build market and competitor awareness among the team. Ensure direct contact with partners and customers across geographies and segments to encourage customer empathy.
  • Set and reinforce product goals. Actively monitor key business metrics and adjust team priorities as appropriate to deliver on financial and customer adoption goals.
  • Find opportunities to improve processes and focus on providing solutions and delivering results.
