Hotels.com is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our talented and friendly design team. You will have the opportunity to shape our Landing Page experience, the first impression of a global brand, building inspiring, world-class experiences for our customers. You’ll take a leading role in defining the Landing stage of their journey, working in collaboration with highly skilled UX, product, data science, analytics and development teams.
You’ll tackle user experience problems and opportunities on our homepage and other key landing points, with a growing focus on machine-learning driven experiences to drive relevance for our customers.
What you will do:
You’ll be responsible for hands-on ownership of design projects and team management of 1-2 designers.
Translate customer needs and business objectives into effective and engaging experiences.
Influence and guide project objectives and represent our customers in discussions with other disciplines.
Continuously improve the user experience using customer insight with the aims of increasing customer reach, conversion and brand loyalty.
Manage a team of 1-2 designers in the Landing pillar, guiding and supporting them in their project work and personal development
Be pro-active in advancing the team’s design methodologies, focusing on quality, customer-centric design along with client-side performance and efficiency
Who you are:
4+ years’ experience as a product designer or similar role
Experience with direct or indirect reports is highly advantageous though not a requirement
Excellent skills with design and prototyping tools
Sound knowledge of mobile technologies, platform design guidelines and approaches.
Academic background in design or related field (nice to have!).
Experience delivering UX within an Agile environment.
You believe that good design decisions are backed up by insight, data, and experimentation.
You love making beautifully crafted, pixel perfect UI designs, and understand the technical constraints of designing for multiple devices and contexts.
You sweat the detail – you’re committed to delivering high quality experiences.
You are at your best when solving problems by collaborating or facilitating.
You’re a strong communicator and are able to get across complex concepts in a simple and straightforward way.
You’re excited about working on large-scale products that are localised in numerous territories.
