Hotels.com, part of Expedia Group is looking for a Product Designer to join our hard working and friendly design team!

You'll help to build the world's best travel products, making sure our millions of customers have an enjoyable, stress-free experience before, during and after every trip.

Our designers work in close-knit teams with product managers, researchers, data scientists, engineers and more to determine how to meet our customers' needs. We're involved in every aspect of the product design process, from framing big gnarly problems to tweaking pixels just before launch.

In this role you’ll work primarily in our pricing and availability team, addressing one of the most critical parts of our customers’ experience. You’ll be helping people to find the best price for their trip; identify the best time to travel to their dream destinations; and be confident about exactly what they’ll pay and when.

There’s a lot of potential anxiety for customers around pricing. It’s an area where we really need to properly understand people’s needs, expectations and emotions to give them the best possible experience. And that’s where you come in...

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with product and research to identify the most valuable customer problems to solve
  • Use qualitative and quantitative insights to design and evolve product features
  • Build wireframes and prototypes for design exploration and user testing
  • Produce pixel-perfect final UI designs
  • Work with our design system and other designers to help keep the overall experience coherent and consistent

Who you are:

  • You’ll have experience in solving end-to-end customer problems
  • You relish designing for complex, nuanced problem spaces (this role will involve lots of these!)
  • You sweat the detail – you’re committed to quality and thinking about all use cases
  • You’ll have experience in insight-driven design (such as site analytics, MVTs and qualitative research)
  • You’ll be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, managing feedback from multiple stakeholders
  • You’ll have great communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate design rationale
  • You’re keen to build your craft as a designer, learning from and contributing to our multi-skilled team
  • You might even love to travel!
