Egencia: Business travel for the Expedia generation!

Egencia, is rewriting the book on how companies and their employees arrange travel. We are looking for strong Travel Consultants with a passion for service who will work as a Dedicated Consultant with one of our corporate accounts.

Who You Are:

  • Must have experience as a Travel Consultant working directly within Egencia.
  • Minimum 5+ years as a Corporate Travel Consultant/Agent. Prior experience handling VIP/Dedicated is preferred
  • 3+ years servicing International customers with emphasis on booking practices and theory either in a travel office or call center; ability to read, define and apply International tariff, fare rules, taxes, hub utilization and explicit knowledge/application of International airline contracts.
  • Strong aptitude/understanding for booking highly complex multiple leg international itineraries.
  • A demonstrated and highly professional attitude and personal presentation skills in all verbal and written communications
  • Capability to work from your home office
  • Proficiency in at least one GDS reservations system(s), preferably Sabre
  • Solid technical skills, with the ability to assist and teach customers about our online booking tool 
  • Knowledge of Internet Search Processes
  • Flexibility to work any shift when needed during peak travel periods and during emergency travel situations
  • Ability to travel and attend both dedicated and offsite meetings as required by Egencia and or client

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide phone, e-mail, and in-person support for travel related requests, such as making reservations
  • Counseling travelers on the most efficient routes, lowest available fares and travel products/services
  • Providing reports and feedback regarding travel process improvements
  • Immediate access to itinerary changes within the executive's online profile
  • Knowledge of air, hotel, car, rail, and limousine reservations
  • Assist in enrollment of air, hotel, and rental car loyalty programs
  • Priority waitlist requests in sold-out situations (subject to supplier rules)
  • Arrangement of meet-and-greet with third-party vendors as needed
  • Make and confirm restaurant and event reservations
  • Maintain ongoing profile notes to ensure executive preferences are captured
  • Confirmation of reservations for executives 24/48 hours prior to departure/arrival
