Finance Manager

Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of Business Partnering, this role sits within the EPS FP&A and Business Partnering Team. At EPS Finance we deliver high quality reporting and analysis to the business leaders on financial performance. This role will be responsible for managing the reporting, analysis and forecasting of key P&L overheads drivers to support effective decision making; involving interacting at all levels of the business, including EPS Leadership Team, to help drive the business forward, articulate the drivers of actual and forecast variances in a simple and compelling way, and proactively identify risks and opportunities.

What you’ll do

  • Support the month-end close processes to control monthly accruals and inputs.
  • Provide monthly/quarterly reporting, variance and trend analyses that provide actionable insights.
  • Obtain input from partners across EPS functions and Expedia Group functions to get in depth analysis behind P&L drivers.
  • Present results to the leadership team to enable to them to clearly understand key drivers and any business decisions required.
  • Drive improved transparency and accountability over P&L dynamics, with a robust framework for ongoing analysis.
  • Lead quarterly forecast and annual planning cycles, co-ordinating across all functions to establish appropriate targets and challenge assumptions.
  • Business partnering with VPs and project leaders to ensure budgets are maintained, and latest business plans are incorporated in order to meet the financial objectives of the organization.
  • Lead the approval process for headcount and incremental budget investment.
  • Identify and implement process and reporting enhancements to drive additional insight, including automation of the reporting of overhead costs.
  • Run the systems cost structure to support the data requirements behind EPS reporting
  • Responsibility for the ongoing coaching and development of Finance Analyst in team.
  • Maintain overall responsibility for team output and deadline by handling workload effectively across the team
  • Adhoc modelling, analysis, and reporting as required.

Who you are

  • Qualified accountant, and BA/BSc 2:1 or above (or equivalent)
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting and expense analysis
  • Excellent analytical skills for interpreting financial information and providing insight
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity
  • Ability to work both independently and in group environment
  • Ability to handle multiple deliverables and competing priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with all levels of management
  • Self-starter, who sees what needs to be done and takes initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated proactive and solutions-oriented approach towards business problems and process improvements with a proven ability to understand the big picture
  • Strong influencer to ensure adoption of defined improvements in processes and standards
  • Highly proficient with Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Oracle, Hyperion and Essbase strongly preferred
