The Regional Manager for Asia Pacific (APAC) is the liaison between the Analytics teams and the Sales team in the APAC region. This individual plays a vital role in analysing and understanding revenue drivers through detailed understanding of our partners’ business model, competitive environment, the travel internet industry and market trends. You can expect to work closely with the VP of APAC Sales, Account Management and Business Development teams, and Commercial Finance. Day-to-day activities include identifying growth opportunities and implementing new initiatives, conducting deep-dive analysis on performance changes, identifying supply gaps and improving conversion rates, and building scalable tools to accelerate speed to insights. This individual will be accountable for defining metrics and approaches for measuring and tracking results, and be closely connected to the top and bottom-line outcomes.

As a member of the Partner Analytics team, the APAC Regional Manager will work cross functionally and bring together insights from both the demand and supply environment. This entails partnering with a broad spectrum of the analytics organization at EPS and across brands, such as lodging supply, Commercial Finance, Strategy, Revenue Optimization and Product & Technology. The role will also have the opportunity to drive new ways of working in a diverse, international organisation.

This position is based in Singapore, reporting to a Senior Manager in Analytics.

What you'll do:

  • Build and manage relationship with stakeholders and partners in the region
  • Grow partner revenue through optimisation and new business strategies
  • Provide direction on business priorities based on expected opportunity size
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis at a partner or market level to explain latest trends and changes
  • Provide recommendations on how to improve revenue to partners and leadership team
  • Support Sales teams on business development initiatives and pitches
  • Measure key results, including revenue, competitive and supply metrics
  • Evaluate revenue risk for new strategies and initiatives and develop strategies to mitigate risks
  • Analyse conversion rates and conversion drivers

Who you are:

  • Strong communication skills, particularly in presenting complex quantitative analysis in targeted, easily understandable messaging

  • Proven experience in identifying growth opportunities, and driving the implementation of solutions to realise them

  • Solid SQL skills, with ability to write SQL from scratch, and good understanding of databases

  • Ability to handle and analyse large amounts of data. Ideally experience with Qubole/ Hadoop

  • Strong understanding of revenue drivers and commercial environment

  • Demonstrated skills in understanding conversion drivers in an online environment

  • Knowledge of statistics, and applying to commercial problem solving

  • Minimum 3 years’ analytical work experience in online travel, consulting, banking or another data-intensive commercial environment

  • Bachelor’s in Business or quantitative discipline, Graduate degree preferred

  • Experience with data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau) and data analysis tools (R) – preferred
