Regional E-commerce Product Specialist at Vrbo, an Expedia Group Brand

We are looking for a Regional E-commerce Product Specialist to join the Southern Europe local team, part of the EMEA Retail Organization. You will be responsible of the product for Vrbo Spain brand. You will analyse a variety of customer metrics to know what the best products to deliver are, and how well the products in our portfolio are performing. Your job will generate an immediate business impact.
You will have the interest of our customers at heart while motivating changes leading to conversion improvements.
What you’ll do:
•Work closely with other local teams (Customer Experience, Sales, Legal) to get their insights on customers feedbacks
•Participate actively to meetings with Global Product Team to be up to date one the Global product roadmap & share with them insights on the Spanish market specificities
•Improve the local product (e.g. website & mobile app for both travellers & owners) through defects tracking, User Acceptance Testings, content improvement & product improvements in collaboration with Global Product Teams
•Review frequently own site performance looking at metrics, in particular booking conversion, to understand drivers of conversion & find opportunities
•Advise the Southern Europe Sr. Director and the EMEA Leadership on conversion performance and the best ways to improve it
•Track and monitor overall conversion on the Spanish site. Monitor and analyse closely key site metrics which impact conversion to help the business achieve business goals and find areas of improvements
•Examine traffic, browsing, and purchase behaviours, develop a deep understanding of the customer experience, and provide recommendations for action
•Develop, present routine and ad hoc analytical reports
•Handle quality of localization; engage measurement, feedback and corrective actions as needed
•Build a local pipeline of key product changes which would help driving up conversion
Who you are:
•Highly fluent in Spanish and English. Italian or Portuguese are a plus
•You have proven and confirmed experience in e-commerce, gathering business requirements and turning them into detailed functional design specifications
•Travel industry experience is a plus
•You have know-how of using Excel and Google Analytics. Tableau is a plus
•You have an analytical mind, demonstrated strong attention to detail, ability to analyse customer data and work towards insights
•Ability to think strategically, to sequence and to prioritize actions to drive business results
•You are passionate about the consumer and have a consumer advocate mind-set
•You are creative and innovative thinker with a “can do” attitude
•Confirmed ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive execution against project achievements and deliverables
•Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
