We are looking for a exceptional Senior Customer Insights Analyst to explore our incredibly rich datasets and using a range of the latest technologies to answer a wide variety of complex business questions. You will be responsible for delivering insight e.g. to define customer acquisition strategies, optimise our sales channels and campaigns, maximise customer lifetime value and reduce customer churn.

Critical to the success of this role will be your ability to work confidently with complex datasets, develop insightful analysis that drives action, and communicate findings in a clear and compelling way. This role represents an exciting opportunity joining Expedia Group as part of the Egencia brand, the fast-growing leader in the B2B travel space.

What you’ll do

  • You will be responsible for executing end-to-end analytics projects:
  • Business understanding – you will be proactively capturing analysis requirements and defining success metrics
  • Data understanding – you will be identifying and validating sources of data
  • Data preparation - extracting, merging and cleaning data from a variety of sources
  • You will work on data visualization & modelling
  • You will communicate clear recommendations and action plans to our internal business partners

Who you are

  • You have strong SQL skills and write complex code across multiple tables from scratch with multiple keys
  • Working experience using Python or R (or learn fast)
  • Experience of manipulating large quantities of high-dimensional data. Ability to extract, clean, and combine data from a variety of sources and ensure high levels of data quality
  • Demonstrable end-to-end analytics project lifecycle experience with a track record in being able to spot opportunities and drive them through to delivery
  • Ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong analytical/numerical skills and knowledge of a range of statistical techniques: logistic regression, clustering, decision tress, machine learning, uplift modelling, AB testing
  • Strong bias to action and the ability to see the ‘big picture,’ evaluate the business impact of issues and prioritise various requests.
  • Have a degree in any of the following fields: computer science, statistics, mathematics or another quantitative field
  • Hands on experience in machine learning, building datasets, feature engineering, building and optimizing algorithms is a plus
  • Able to visualise data effectively through tools like Tableau is a plus
  • Ability to work simultaneously across a number of analytical projects, managing your own time and projects to deliver results with minimal support
